When David Icke says “lizards”, does he mean “Jews”? This is the question documentarian Jon Ronson asks in “The Secret Rulers of the World, Part 2: David Icke, The Lizards and the Jews“. David Icke is a New Age cult celebrity (no pun intended) who asserts with a straight face that the world is ruled by giant blood-drinking lizards from outer space who disguise themselves as humans to rule the world as a shadowy elite.
Believe it or not, Icke is an international celebrity with a following of millions, a large subset of whom presumably take the whole lizard thing seriously. Among the people and groups who take it seriously is the Anti-Defamation League, the foremost defenders of global Jewry. Seriously. And that’s what’s fascinating about the documentary: the crazy bastard is hounded on his book-signing tour by Jews and their pathetic Antifa™ street thugs denouncing him as antisemitic.

Abe Foxman...Jew or Lizard?
The documentary frames the question as such: is his conspiracy theory a transparent allegory for Jews or is the ADL being paranoid? The documentary leaves one with the impression that the latter is the case; the ADL is being paranoid about conspiracy theories. It’s a little more complicated than that, however. His entire shtick is a transparent rip-off of the reliable old Judeo-Masonic Conspiracy Theory, with Jews removed and blood-drinking lizards clumsily stitched in.
According to conspiracy theorist Alex Jones…
So what does David Icke do? He talks about the Federal Reserve, the Bank of England, these Global Elitists, these power structures—all real, all true, all demonstrated by bills and executive orders and prime ministers, and premiers, and presidents. All real, meat and potatoes, something you can bite into. Something that is easily demonstrable. And then you’ve got David Icke and at the end of all this, he says, “By the way, they’re blood-drinking lizards.” Al Gore needs blood to drink, so does Prince Philip, I mean it’s asinine. It’s being picked up by people, and it discredits all the reality we’re talking about, and that’s the problem with David Icke. He’s got a good line to a point, and then he discredits it all. It’s like a turd in the punchbowl.
Ultimately, Alex Jones himself, the Larouche Cult, and countless others are guilty of the same thing. The only difference in Alex’s case is replacing Jews with faceless, anonymous, “Global Elitists”. The notion that an intergenerational global conspiracy could be orchestrated by an international network of people whose only commonality is being rich and powerful is actually more preposterous than Icke’s formulation. After all, I can say with absolute certainty that the tribal nature of human beings would rapidly unravel Alex’s “Rainbow Conspiracy”. On the possibility of reptilian space creatures from the vast expanse of outer space hellbent on dominating Earth, I can only speculate that it seems improbable.

Psych!
David Icke probably ripped off the most well-documented and plausible conspiracy theory because it’s easier than weaving a brand new one. He’s a New Age huckster whose work essentially plagiarizes the antisemitic worldview. The danger here for Jews is that he could at some point in the future shout: “Psych! I was talking about Jews the whole time! Start the pogrom!”
This would be a pretty clever way to awaken the masses to a conspiracy, but his background and character suggest that to be unlikely. He’s probably only using it as a clever way to get rich quick. But even if he never does yell “Psyche!”, there’s still a danger to Jews in millions of people around the world being imprinted with this mythology. The myths human populations are imprinted with are the firmware dictating their reactions to contemporary events.
We’re trained to perceive the world in terms of predetermined patterns and react according to those design patterns. This is one of the key things people fail to recognize about sacred religious texts. While their fables and parables are unlikely to be true in the most literal sense, they’re means to the end of inculcating crowds with behavioral patterns. For an exposition of how the Jewish community’s own behavior is largely framed by patterns laid out in their scriptures by their ancient ancestors, one would do well to read Douglas Reed’s Controversy of Zion.
Update:
Some assert that I am a reptilian, a libel against my good character that I categorically deny.
‘a libel against my good character that I categorically deny.’
But do you deny that you were seen with *this* inhuman creature?

On a more down-to-earth note, the man who blogs at:

is apparently going to become a 2nd Lieutenant in the US Army. His psychological profile is fascinating, and provides an insight into the sort of men who are becoming officers.

Examine the kinds of things that go into this 27-year-old man’s mind – the child abuse, the rejection of religion, the alcoholism – and I think you’ll be fascinated. I don’t know if those insights will help you in any practical way, but if nothing else you’ll know a little bit more about one of your countrymen.
Excellent essay. Lizardworthy.
Doesn’t Icke say that these “lizards” control the government, the media and run the banks? Hmmm. I think the anti-antisemites might be on to something there.
The whole Icke thing is fascinating. I wish i’d thought of it. Personally i think he helps them but the paranoia is quite funny to watch.
FWIW: 2 years ago a previously mainstream (politically) friend suddenly went for the Icke theories %100. Over the last 2 years he’s made the transition that ADL is afraid he will make.
‘
I think the ADL is right about Icke’s cult functioning in a ‘defamatory’ way, the same way they’re right about the tea party being racial. It’s not necessarily conscious of being a duck, but it waddles and quacks in a convincing manner.
