Eugene Girin, one of the latest additions to Alt.Right‘s cabal of contrarian cranks, has asked an open question to the “Far Right”: Are you Anti-Semitic? He’s a Jewish immigrant from Moldova (the most miserable country on Earth), so it’s a bit of a personal question for him. Predictably, all three respondents cough up a bunch of anti-Jewish sentiment while refusing on technicalities to accept the charge.
All three – Taki, Trifkovic, and Gottfried – frame it as an issue of behavior rather than one of identity, implying that if Jews were to cut out their antics that they would be welcome in the movement. They’re being sincere, as Gottfried’s presence in the discussion demonstrates. Jews who can refrain from holding the political beliefs typically associated with the Jewish people and who don’t mind surrounding themselves with rabid anti-Semites are…kosher.
The Alternative Right collective can only be blamed so much, as this impotent and schizophrenic approach to the Jewish people is the only one I’ve ever seen on the Right. I favor the much simpler approach of kindly and directly rejecting their inclusion on account of tribal identity. They belong to a different people, a different tradition. They’re a nation within our nation who are neither culturally, religiously, nor genetically “us”.
The Jewish community doesn’t hesitate to exclude us on account of identity, yet we as a people, the White American people, lack the confidence in our identity to exclude the other. For all of the Alternative Right’s railing against “inclusiveness” and cultural relativism, their reactions to Jewish interlopers betray their Modern instincts. Even in this supposed snake pit of White Nationalism, Radical Traditionalism, and anti-Semitism, identity is subordinated to proposition and merit.
To answer Eugene’s question: Yes, the Far Right is anti-Semitic…but it’s pro-Jewish.
The Jews on the Alternative Right, many of whom do great work, are all still Jewish. Professor Gottfried may well offer trenchant criticisms of liberalism and the neoconservative movement, but he will reliably refuse to acknowledge that the problem with the West isn’t so much the presence of a managerial elite, but of an invasive managerial elite. His son is a staunchly loyal Jewish neoconservative, because blood is thicker than bullshit.
Ilana Mercer serves up some rousing articles in defense of the West and securing our borders – but she’s reliably on the side of the Zionist warmongers when the chips are down. Eugene Girin may consider himself a fervent supporter of the West and a man of the Right, but he appears to have invested quite a bit of his time at VDare and Alt.Right engaging in…Jewish advocacy.
The anti-Semites will never find the elusive “Good Jew” that they seek, because a good Jew is one who simply and honestly honors his tribe and its tradition without bothering the goyim, without pretending to be something other than Jewish, without making a living attacking his own people in a den of antisemitic vipers. “Good Jews” don’t entertain the silly notion that thousands of years of ethnonational identity can be trumped by a passing political scene.
The Jewish people wouldn’t exist today if they didn’t confidently exclude people who aren’t Jewish. If the Alternative Right doesn’t learn to confidently exclude Jewish people, it will not exist in the future. It will eventually be overwhelmed due to Jewish merit at political discourse and ethnic networking. It will then be converted into a vehicle for Jewish advocacy. Finally, it will be discarded for a different one after they run it into the ground.

If their work is “great” then it must be “great” for right-wing politics, but not “great” for whites as such. Otherwise, those “greats” would insist on altruistically punishing their fellow Jews.

By contrast, Israel Shahak, Benjamin Freeman, and so on, were “great” at exposing important information, but perhaps not “great” for right-wing politics.
I mean “great” in a generic reference to the quality of their discourse, independent of the political impact. Paleocon, WN, Liberal, Marxist, and even Satanist polemicists can all do “great” work by this definition.
Many manage to write “great” traditional conservative material that manages to be neither pro-White nor consistently ethnonationalist (Jews’ garlic). That’s not necessarily “great” for White folks, but it sure does allow them to first numerically then tribally overwhelm pro-White media institutions that fail to exclude them.

Actually, his son isn’t a neoconservative, but rather a multicultural Leftist. He clerked for Sonia Sotomayor and even wrote several of the speeches she gave since going to D.C.

I was a little surprised to see one of his last columns up on TakiMag. It turns out that one of his sons is a speechwriter for Sonia Sotomayor.
